Hall-effect sensor
This is the stand-alone hall-effect sensor, suitable for rotational sensing. It is exactly the same as the sensor included in our WarP Speed Sensor kit. It works great with AutoBlock RPM, or after-market tachometer gauges.
Includes sensor with 6 foot cable, 2 stainless steel mounting nuts, lock washer and 2 foot pigtail. Optional Exciter ring can be purchased for several common size motors.
Our Hall Effect Sensor is designed to be as universal and versatile as possible. It can be powered by either 5 or 12 volts and be triggered by any ferrous (iron-based) target. It can drive an aftermarket tachometer gauge directly due to the internal pull-up resistor. When a target is near the sensor, the signal line drops to GND, when a target is not near the sensor, the signal line goes to source voltage (either 5 or 12 volts).
